We are three local mothers raising our children on Vancouver Island. We actively work towards raising our families with a basic respect for the rights of each child to take pride in their individuality. We are continuing to teach them about their responsibilities for environmental stewardship and to have respect for every persons individuality. This was why we decided to create a beautiful line of hand made clothing for kids that are durable, dyed with non-toxic dyes, and that uses fabrics that are environmentally friendly, while challenging gender rules. We have adopted Rocks and Roots Apparel from another local Vancouver Island Mama who had already set this clothing line on that track with beautiful clothing made with organic, hand dyed fabrics, recycled fabrics and up-cycled leather. We are now picking up where she has left off and experimenting with ways to expand upon this solid foundation.
